Allen Heisel Obituary – A fatal collision occurred in Lee County on Friday, May 10, resulting in the death of a Burlington resident. The crash, which occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m., claimed the life of 90-year-old Allen Heisel.
According to the crash report from the Iowa State Patrol, both vehicles involved were traveling northbound on U.S. Highway 61 near 165th Street, just north of Wever. Tragically, an SUV collided with the rear of Heisel’s pickup truck, causing it to overturn and ejecting Heisel from the vehicle.
The incident is currently being investigated.
