Benjamin Earl Holdbrooks Obituary – A fatal accident occurred on Friday night when a pedestrian was struck by a car. The unfortunate incident took place on Highway 81, near Iva, as confirmed by the Anderson County coroner’s office. The driver of the 2014 Jeep involved in the collision escaped unharmed.
The pedestrian and the Jeep were both traveling south on SC 81 when the collision occurred. The injured pedestrian was immediately transported to AnMed, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries at approximately 12:17 a.m.
The deceased has been identified as Benjamin Earl Holdbrooks, a 42-year-old individual. The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the coroner’s office are currently conducting investigations into the crash.
