Robert Wright Day Death – A murder charge has been filed against a man from Massachusetts, while two others are facing charges of assault and battery in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 20-year-old man in Leominster. The arrest of Juan Diaz Contreras, 19, took place without incident at his residence in Fitchburg on Thursday night, following the issuance of an arrest warrant by the Worcester District Attorney’s Office. Additionally, two other individuals, Edgar K. Perez-Tuero, 21, from Gardner, and Christian Joel Santiago, 19, from Leominster, were apprehended based on warrants issued during the investigation.
All three suspects are scheduled to appear in Fitchburg District Court for arraignment on Friday. The incident occurred shortly before 1 a.m. on Tuesday, when Leominster police were called to the Riverside Village Apartment complex on State Street in response to a reported stabbing. Upon arrival, they discovered a man with a stab wound and promptly transported him to Leominster Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The victim has been identified as Robert Wright Day, 20, from Leominster. The case is currently being investigated by the Leominster police, Fitchburg police, and state police.
