The general public was informed by a teacher that the event has been canceled at this time and that all individuals are safe. Because there are no firearms in the area, every individual is safe. The lockdown at DeSoto High School was apparently caused by a person who brought a gun onto campus, and several law enforcement agencies are currently responding to reports that have been made following the lockdown.
An assault was committed against a young child, as stated by a student who was present at the scene. The youngster then called his brother, who then arrived at the school armed with a firearm. Currently, law enforcement personnel are present at the location in order to conduct an investigation.
