A driver was taken into custody Thursday after she jumped into a canal in Doral after she allegedly stole a vehicle and led police on a pursuit on the Palmetto Expressway.
7Skyforce hovered over the scene at Northwest 25th Street near the exit ramp, where police deployed buoys in an attempt to get her out of the water.
A police pursuit started northbound on the Palmetto Expressway after officers spotted the stolen vehicle with no tag.
After she eluded police, she jumped into the water.
The woman has since been pulled out of the water and was taken into custody.
