Harman Davis Obituary: The West Virginia State Police trooper fatally shot a man who allegedly stabbed another trooper on Wednesday night. According to a press release from the West Virginia State Police, the incident occurred when a vehicle was stopped on 10 Mile Road in the Ranger area of Lincoln County. The suspect, identified as 46-year-old Harman Davis of Branchland, fled into a wooded area.
After a pursuit, one of the troopers caught up with Davis, who then proceeded to stab the trooper multiple times. Subsequently, another trooper at the scene shot Davis, resulting in his death.
The injured trooper, identified as Senior Trooper Hurley in the release, underwent surgery at St. Mary’s Hospital in Huntington and is currently in stable condition. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
