A 26-year-old man is dead after being shot on Francis Avenue in Hartford on Friday, officials said.
The victim of the shooting, Teixeira Dorival, of Hartford, was pronounced dead at a local hospital, according to police.
On Friday, around 6:08 p.m., Hartford police said they responded to the area of 145 Francis Ave. on reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, Dorival was located with gunshot wounds and transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police say the investigation remains active and ongoing.
