In a sobering development, the Houston Police Department has disclosed that a man suspected of involvement in the fatal shooting of a woman on Calhoun Street in Houston has been discovered deceased in Beaumont on Tuesday. The individual found deceased in Beaumont has been identified as 32-year-old Treyvon Johnson.
The victim of the shooting incident, which occurred on Saturday in Houston, has been identified as 27-year-old Marquisha Jackson. Upon arriving at the scene, Houston patrol officers found Jackson on the street with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the swift response of Houston Fire Department paramedics, Jackson was tragically pronounced dead.
Initial investigations into the incident revealed that Jackson was last seen with her boyfriend, later identified as Treyvon Johnson, in her blue Honda Accord, which bore temporary license tags. However, at the time, neither Johnson nor the vehicle had been located.
The breakthrough in the case came on Tuesday when Jackson’s Honda Accord was discovered in a parking lot at 2550 East Freeway (East Interstate Highway 10) in Beaumont. Beaumont Police officers responded to the scene and made the grim discovery of Johnson’s lifeless body in the back seat of the vehicle, with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. A revolver was found near his body.
