Ten people were arrested when state and local police carried out a drug raid at a home in Waterbury on Wednesday which led to the home being condemned.
The raid was carried out at a home at 76 Chapman Ave. where investigators had a search and seizure warrant, according to Sgt. Joseph Morais of the Waterbury Police Department.
Morais said the target of the warrant was 46-year-old Eugene Foote.
The raid was carried out by the police department’s Gang Task Force, Vice and Intelligence and Auto Theft Task Force, along with members of the Connecticut State Police Violent Crimes Task Force. During the search, police allegedly found numerous amounts of narcotics and drug paraphernalia, Morais said.
In addition to Foote, nine additional people were arrested after investigators found that they were engaged in “nefarious criminal activities,” according to Morais.
The Waterbury Fire Marshal and Health Department Officials condemned the home following the search.
Those who were arrested include:
Foot, who was charged with two counts of possession of narcotics and a single count each of possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, interfering with an officer, tampering with evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Glenda Mendez, 44, of Waterbury, who was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Anthony Williams, 47, of Waterbury, who had a warrant out for his arrest held by state police.
Ernest Pritchett, 54, of Waterbury who faces charges of possession of narcotics with intent to sell, illegal operation of a drug factory and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Latisha Anderson, 44, of Waterbury who was charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell, illegal operation of a drug factory and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Melissa Parkhurst, 46, of Waterbury who was charged with two counts of possession of narcotics and a single count of possession of drug paraphernalia. She also had two warrants out for her arrest, police said.
Victor Torres, 41, of Waterbury who was charged with two counts of possession of narcotics and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Aida Oquendo, 44, of Waterbury who had two warrants out for her arrest.
Rosemary Winters, 60, of Waterbury who was charged with misrepresentation of a substance as a controlled substance.
Wesley Watson, 53, of Waterbury who was charged with possession of a hallucinogenic substance with intent to sell.
