Frank Wyant,Marcella Wyant Obituary – According to Pennsylvania authorities and news reports, an elderly married couple in their 80s were struck by a vehicle while out for an evening walk and tragically passed away. The Allentown Police Department stated that the pedestrians were discovered with “serious injuries” after the incident occurred at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, May 3 in Allentown.
They were immediately transported to a hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries. The Lehigh County coroner identified the victims as Frank Wyant, 83, and Marcella Wyant, 80. The couple had been enjoying their evening walk, as confirmed by the coroner. The driver involved in the accident remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
As of Monday, May 6, no charges have been announced. Allentown Mayor Matt Tuerk expressed his frustration over the increasing number of pedestrian fatalities in the city, emphasizing the need for drivers to exercise caution and reduce their speed. Allentown is located approximately 65 miles northwest of Philadelphia.
