A woman and a juvenile were injured when they were hit by a car in a McDonald’s parking lot in Meriden on Tuesday.
The crash occurred in the evening hours at the McDonald’s on East Main Street as a man was reversing a vehicle, according to Lt. Darrin McKay of the Meriden Police Department.
McKay said the man hit his mother and a juvenile who were on foot. The boy had no affiliation with the man or his mother.
Both victims suffered injuries, though the extent of them was not immediately clear, McKay said. They each received medical attention.
The driver was cooperative with police and was taken to a hospital for observation after suffering an “unknown medical issue,” according to McKay.
The crash is being investigated by the police department’s accident investigation unit.
