According to the authorities, on Monday, a student in Lynn, Massachusetts, repeatedly stabbed a staff member. Authorities were summoned to KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate located at 20 Wheeler St., where they discovered that a pupil had inflicted several stab wounds on a staff member, according to officials. According to officials, Larnel Jean Eustach, an 18-year-old student from Chelsea, departed from the school before the arrival of the police. Subsequently, Eustach was apprehended and detained by the police following a short chase.
Eustache faced charges of assault to commit murder, mayhem, assault with a deadly weapon, and other associated offenses. The unidentified victim was transported to a nearby medical facility to receive medical attention for injuries that were not deemed life-threatening. “To ensure the safety of everyone, the campus was put on a secure and hold status, and families were promptly informed,” stated Nikki Barnes, the executive director of KIPP Massachusetts. The school was then dismissed for the remainder of the day.

April 29, 2024 – Dear KIPP Parents & Families, “At approximately 10:00 am this morning there was an incident on our Lynn Campus involving a KIPP Staff member and a KIPP student. The incident resulted in a stabbing injury to the KIPP Staff Member.
There is no additional threat or concern of harm to our campus at this time. The staff member is currently receiving medical care and the student has been placed into custody of the Lynn Police Department.”
In response to this incident, KIPP Academy:
1. Immediately contacted Emergency services, including the Lynn Police Department and Emergency Medical Services,
2. Placed the campus in a Secure and Hold campus movement restriction to maintain the safety of all,
3. Notified families of the secure and hold,
4. Engaged in a Reunification Response to safely dismiss students from campus as needed.
The safety of our students and staff is our number one priority. We will continue to partner with the Lynn Police Department and follow their recommendations. Our focus at this time is on supporting our community; we are mobilizing counseling and additional support services for students, faculty, and staff today and will continue to provide information on accessing these supports and ensuring access remains available in the days ahead.
