Two people were injured in a head-on crash on Route 1 in Branford on Wednesday evening.
The two-car collision occurred in front of a restaurant at 269 E. Main St. around 6:45 p.m., according to the Branford Police Department.
Police said both drivers were taken to a hospital for their injuries. The extent of the injuries was not immediately clear.
East Main Street, which is also known as Route 1, was closed in the area of the crash while police were at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
