MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Joining us this morning is Justin Driver with Forward Church. We wanted to talk about using our God given gifts for the kingdom of God. How do we do that?
Guest: You know, it’s so important to discover your purpose in the kingdom of God. One of the ways we do that is to just seek God, Seek his will. Seek his purpose in our life. Get connected in a local church, find a mentor, someone over you that can help lead you and guide you. I believe that our our purpose. This is where our gift and where our passion meets. And when we find that spiritual gift and we find our passion in the kingdom of God, that’s where we really begin to thrive and make a difference.
Anchor: Let’s talk about ways we can find our gifts. Where do you start? Do you start with a mentor or do you start by praying? What’s the best route?
Guest: Begins with salvation. First and foremost, salvation. Faith in Jesus Christ. And when we put our faith in Jesus Christ, he instills in us through His Holy Spirit, the gift, a spiritual gift.
And I believe that’s where it begins, first and foremost. Then it’s getting connected in a local body of believers finding that mentor. Jesus called us all to make disciples, and I believe that is part of discipleship. Is discovering your purpose and your spiritual gift in the kingdom.
Anchor: You mentioned faith. How does our walk? How does walking in our purpose help us spring others to Jesus?
Guest: So we’re promoting something in our life, right? And so we are part of the Kingdom of God if we know Jesus as our Lord and Savior. The Bible says we’re sojourners in this land. So our our primary purpose is to spread the rule of the kingdom and to bring glory to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, which is Jesus Christ.
So when we operate in our gift and in our passion, we’re spreading His glory on the face of this earth. And that helps bring others into a relationship with Jesus Christ. Justin Driver with Forward Church, We’ll talk more about this topic in the next hour of News five. This morning,
