Vidal York Death – The Metro Nashville Police Department detectives are actively pursuing leads in the ongoing investigation of a shooting incident that took place on Friday night, resulting in the unfortunate death of one individual and the injury of another.
The incident occurred in the parking lot of the Cascade Apartments located at 3300 Murfreesboro Pike. The deceased has been identified as Vidal York, a 23-year-old resident of Smyrna, while the injured individual is a 19-year-old man who arrived at the apartment with York.
Upon receiving the report, police officers promptly responded to the scene at 9:33 p.m. York was discovered lying in the parking lot and was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where he was tragically pronounced dead.
The 19-year-old, on the other hand, was driven to a hospital by a private vehicle and subsequently received medical treatment before being released.
Authorities suspect that the shooter fled the apartment complex shortly after the incident occurred. The Metro Nashville Police Department has yet to determine the motive behind the shooting and is actively seeking any information that may aid in the investigation.
