Felix Jose Zayas Hernandez Obituary – The victim of a crash that occurred on I-77 overnight in Fairfield County has been identified as a Fort Mill man.
Coroner Chris Hill confirmed that the incident took place on the interstate while 45-year-old Felix Jose Zayas Hernandez was walking in the lanes.
The driver involved in the crash remained at the scene and is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation, according to authorities.
To gather further information about the man’s death, an autopsy is set to be conducted in Newberry.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is also actively investigating the incident.
