Two people are in critical condition following a crash in Waterbury that injured multiple adults and children.
The two-car collision occurred in the area of 74 Bunker Hill Ave. around 12:10 p.m. when fire crews responded to a collision involving extrication, according to Capt. Edward Partridge of the Waterbury Fire Department.
Partridge said there were five people in the two vehicles. Two of them needed to be extricated by firefighters, he said.
Two adults were left in critical condition, according to Partridge. A third adult and two children were also taken to a hospital, Partridge said.
The road was closed while police investigated the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
