With heavy hearts, the Clare County Mounted Division is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Mounted Deputy Kimba MacRitchie, who end of watch (EOW) was April 2nd, 2024. Kimba’s tragic passing occurred due to injuries sustained while trail riding her horse with her family in Tennessee. Her loss has left an immense void within our hearts and our unit.
Kimba was not just an outstanding officer; she was a pillar of strength and compassion within our community. Her unwavering dedication to serving her family, community, and country was evident in everything she did. Kimba’s commitment to her role as a mounted deputy was surpassed only by her love for her family and her deep-rooted connection to her community.
As a member of the Clare County Mounted Division, Kimba embodied the values of honor, integrity, and service. She approached her duties with professionalism and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on those around her. Kimba’s presence within our unit will be sorely missed, and her legacy will continue to inspire us all.
