With heavy hearts, we share the deeply saddening news of the passing of Firefighter/EMR Earl Gautier. Earl was an esteemed pillar of our department, having joined our ranks on January 1st, 1978. Throughout his tenure, Earl exemplified unwavering dedication and commitment to serving his community.
Despite facing some health challenges over the past few years, Earl’s passion for service never wavered. He continued to show up for his duties, demonstrating a remarkable level of devotion to our department’s mission. Earl was the epitome of reliability; whenever the pager sounded, we knew Earl would be there without fail. His presence at every event and his tireless work ethic were constants that inspired us all.
Earl’s dedication was truly exceptional. Despite undergoing a two-week hospital stay last November, he made a point to stop by the turkey shoot on his way home, underscoring his unyielding commitment to our organization. Even from his hospital bed, Earl ensured that we were informed of his absence for the first night, a testament to his steadfast loyalty and integrity.
He embodied the values of commitment, dedication, and intentionality every single day, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. Earl’s friendship and unwavering support will be sorely missed, and his memory will forever be etched within the fabric of our organization.
Thank you, Earl, for your selfless service to us and this community. Your legacy of dedication and kindness will continue to inspire us all.
May you rest in peace, knowing that your impact lives on in the hearts and minds of those you touched.
