A man was critically injured and two others were hospitalized after their vehicle crashed into a tree Monday afternoon in Waterbury.
Officers responded to the area of Bunker Hill Avenue and Ardsley Road just before 4:15 p.m. Monday for a single-car crash involving a tree, according to Sgt. Joseph Morais of the Waterbury Police Department.
Morais said the driver, identified as a 41-year-old man from Waterbury, was transported to a local hospital. According to Morais, he was receiving medical treatment for life-threatening injuries and was listed in critical condition on Monday night.
The vehicle contained two additional passengers who were also transported to a local hospital for minor, non-life-threatening injuries, Morais said. Both were listed in stable condition.
