Toby Wilson Obituary – The untimely demise of Toby Scott Wilson occurred on April 3, 2024, at the age of 48. He was born to Randy and Debra Wilson on April 24, 1975, and has lived in Glennville ever since. At one point, he was a devout Baptist who regularly attended both Mendes Baptist Church and Watermelon Creek Baptist.
Toby liked his time at Glennville High School, where he played on the tennis team and was active in extracurricular activities, until he graduated in 1993. He continued his education in forestry at Georgia Southern University. Wilson Brothers Incorporated was owned by Toby’s father, son, and uncles; he was a fifth-generation logger who carried on the family business and his enthusiasm for forestry, lumber, and logging. For a long time, he was an active member of Master Timber Harvester. Among the several timber firms for which he worked were Interstate Paper Company, Rayonier, Weyerhaeuser, and Georgia Pacific.
With the arrival of his new grandson, Toby Scott Wilson, III “Tripp,” Toby found even more joy in fishing, tennis, and spending time outside and with his family. The Dasher grandparents—Clyde and Betty, Madeira Pelletier, and John Emmitt Wilson—passed away before Toby was born.
Toby Scott Wilson, Jr. (Emma) and Elliot Wilson, his beloved boys, as well as his supportive parents, Randy and Debra Wilson, will carry on his legacy. Toby Scott Wilson, III “Tripp”—his beloved grandchild; Brooke Wilson McMillen—his loving sister—and her family—including his devoted nephew Davis and niece Annie—as well as his many cousins and aunts and uncles.
