John Koenig Obituary, Death Cause – The passing of John “Hans” H. Koenig, who had been a resident of Grayslake, Illinois for a considerable amount of time, occurred on April 2, 2024, at his residence in that city. having lived for 89 years at this point. Michael and Anna Koenig, his parents, were overjoyed to welcome their son into the world on July 16, 1934, in the heart of Chicago, Illinois, in the United States of America. John offered his service to his country for the entirety of the Korean War while serving in the United States Marine Corps. He had survived the conflict, which he had been a veteran of. After more than three decades of service with the Chicago Police Department, during which he eventually worked his way up through the ranks to become a Detective, he made the decision to resign from the force. His two favorite sports to play were bowling and golf. He enjoyed playing both of these sports.
There are a number of people who are left behind after John’s passing, such as his children Kim Koenig and Mark Koenig, his devoted companion Marie Hall and her incredible family, his niece and nephews Terri Lamberti, Mike Koenig, and Paul Koenig, and a large number of great-nieces and great-nephews. John’s passing has left a number of people behind. All of his relatives, including his parents, his wife Sandra, his brother Michael, and his niece Annie Koenig, had already passed away prior to his own passing. He was the last surviving immediate family member. During that time period, he was the only member of his family that was still alive.
At the Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, which is located at 410 E. Belvidere Rd. in Grayslake, Illinois 60030, there will be a viewing on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The viewing is planned to take place. There has been no decision made on the time or date of the viewing as of yet. There will be funeral services held at the funeral chapel on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at eleven o’clock in the morning. The date and time of the services have not yet been determined. It is now known when the service will take place and at what hour.
The burial will take place in Willow Lawn Cemetery, which is located in Vernon Hills, Illinois. The site of the cemetery is Willow Lawn Cemetery.
