William ‘Randy’ Horton Obituary, Death – We are saddened to notify you of the demise of William “Randy” Horton, a retired police officer who went away on Tuesday, April 2nd. Our hearts go out to you during this difficult transition. This information must be communicated to you, and we do so with a great deal of regret. Over the course of more than thirty years, Randy served as a law enforcement officer with the Tipton Police Department. Over the course of thirty years, he served in that position as an employee.
He was hired as a law enforcement officer in the year 1969, during the month of September. His date of recruitment was September. Randy was promoted from the position of Patrolman to that of Sergeant, then from Sergeant to Captain, and lastly from Captain to Assistant Chief over the course of his career. Over the course of his career, Randy obtained promotions that took him from one position to the next. Randy decided to retire on April 1st, 2000, which was the first day of April. Randy went back to work for the Tipton Police Department in September of 2001, this time in the capacity of a dispatcher, after having retired from the police service during the previous year.
It was at that time that he began serving in that role, and he continued there until March of 2005. We would like to express our sincerest sympathies to Randy’s family and friends, and we would like to express our gratitude to the Tipton Police Department for the many years that Randy devoted himself to serving the city of Tipton during his career. Randy devoted himself to serving the Tipton community for a considerable amount of time. Randy will be honored with a Celebration of Life service at Heartland Church on the 13th of April, which is a Saturday. This event is going to take place. A visitation period will begin at eleven in the morning and continue until one in the afternoon. The visitation period will last for the entire day. Beginning at one o’clock in the afternoon, the Celebration of Life will begin. This is the time that it will begin.
