Brie Jorgenson Obituary, Death – We are saddened to inform you that one of our evidence technicians, Brie Jorgenson, has passed away. Our hearts are heavy at hearing this news. However, Brie was more than just our evidence technician. A lot of our employees considered her to be their favorite person to work with. She was a devoted wife to her husband Chris, a devoted mother to her son Carter, a pillar of strength to her family, a devoted Disney fan to her friends, and a devoted mother to her son Carter, who was four years old.
Before coming to work for our agency in the year 2020, Brie already had 11.5 years of experience working as a dispatcher for the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office. After a few years of working in our dispatch section, Brie made the decision to pursue (and ultimately fulfill) her lifelong desire of becoming an evidence technician. In this role, she was responsible for conducting investigations at the crime scene of big accidents and fatal automobile collisions.
Brie was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer not long after she was promoted to the position of Evidence Technician. As a result, she was forced to take a leave of absence for the majority of the year 2023. Unfortunately, Brie soon realized that the cancer had spread to other parts of her body, causing serious issues. This came as a shock to her because she had just recently returned to work and was eager to continue in her new capacity. As a result of these issues, Brie was forced to continue fighting this dreadful battle in the intensive care unit.
In a tragic turn of events, Brie lost her battle with cancer and passed away last night. In spite of the fact that her absence is still being felt throughout our corridors, we are extremely thankful that we were given the opportunity to have her as a part of our life and at our department. We want to express our most sincere sympathies to all of her loved ones as they struggle to come to terms with this unfathomable catastrophe.
