Arleen Norn Obituary – The death of Arleen Hettie Norn, who was 70 years old, occurred unexpectedly and was caused by natural causes on the morning of March 22, 2024. She had a happy life in Quesnel, British Columbia, where she was born on August 8, 1953. She lived there her entire life. She was the youngest of six children, and her family resided in Old Cinema. She was the third kid. Ohbau Creek and the Cottonwood River were two of her favorite places to play, and she reminisced fondly about those days.
At that time, her horse was her greatest passion. In fact, when she was a young girl, she was highlighted in the local newspaper when her horse gave birth to twins. Archleen had a deep affection for all kinds of animals. It is highly possible that her father was the one who brought home any orphaned animals that he came across throughout his travels. The moose and bear cubs were included in this. Old Cinema/Moose Heights was her favorite spot to be, and she instilled this sentiment in her daughters.
Her daughters also shared this sentiment. A “Happy Place” for us, it was and still is. Arleen had a warm and kind spirit that allowed her to get along with almost everyone, regardless of their background or the circumstances in which they found themselves. Our hearts and memories will always hold a special place for her. Bryan Wayne Meagher, Arleen’s husband, passed away in May of 1996. Arleen followed in his footsteps. On the 19th of October in 1968, they both got married. Furthermore, her parents, Wilf and Hettie Norn, had passed away before she was born.
For her daughters Ava Meagher and Colleen Meagher, as well as for her grandkids Ryley Dumaine and Shawna (Jason) Dumaine, as well as for her siblings Colleen (Pete) Zanatta, Paul (Leona) Norn, Dan (the late Jan) Norn, Ted (Maureen) Norn, and Michael (Norma) Norn, Arleen will be deeply missed. Her many nieces, nephews, relatives, and acquaintances will also miss her terribly. She will be greatly missed. This coming Friday, April 5th, at nine o’clock in the morning, Clayton’s Funeral Home will be the location of an escorted cremation. At the present moment, there will be no service held. As an alternative to sending flowers, you may choose to make a contribution to an animal charity of your choosing in Arleen’s honor.
