A Massachusetts man with a lengthy criminal history has pleaded guilty to a federal firearm charge after he was arrested in Connecticut in 2024 and found with “ghost” guns.

Nicholas Kingsley, 42, of Agawam, Massachusetts appeared in federal court in Hartford where he pleaded guilty unlawful possession of firearms by a felon, unlawful possession of a machine gun and unlawful possession of a weapon in violation of the National Firearms Act, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Connecticut.

Kingsley was arrested by officers with the Enfield Police Department during a traffic stop on April 16, 2024, federal officials said. During the stop, police found him with three privately made firearms “ghost guns” and 45 rounds of ammunition, authorities said.

Two days later, while Kingsley was detained in state custody, Homeland Security Investigations special agents searched his vehicle in Agawam and seized 14 fully assembled firearms, several Glock machine gun conversion devices and more than 2,000 rounds of various caliber ammunition.

Authorities noted that Kingsley is barred from having guns or ammunition, as his criminal history includes felony convictions on drug, firearm, assault and larceny charges, according to officials.

He has been detained since his arrest and is scheduled to face sentencing on March 16, when he faces a maximum of 35 years in prison.
