Anne Atchison Obituary – Anne Eileen Atchison, who had been battling illness for a relatively brief length of time, passed away on March 22, 2024 in Spokane. She had been a resident of Fernwood, Idaho. In Spokane, Washington, on September 6, 1945, Lester M. and Vivian Boyd Burton became parents for the first time. They welcomed their daughter Anne into the world. Lester Lynn Burton, one of her brothers, finally became a member of the family and also joined her.
Her formative years were spent in the Spokane Valley, where she attended Dishman Grade School and West Valley High School. During her time at West Valley High School, she was a member of the school’s singing ensemble and graduated in 1963. Following that, she continued her education at Eastern Washington College of Education up until the point where she graduated. Subsequently, on September 5, 1965, she tied the knot with Gary Atchison, and she subsequently established her residence in Spokane, Washington.
Gary and Anne were lucky enough to have two children together, and their names were Debbie and David. During the year 1972, the family moved to the southern region of Stevens County, Washington, and they continued to bring up their children in that location. Anne took her retirement from her employment as a secretary for David C. Auble, MAI in the year 2006, after having served in that capacity for a total of 32 years.
In addition to being a member of the Deer Park Wrestling Club with Gary, she was also an active member of the Deer Park Nazarene Church and the Clayton Community Church while she was living in Stevens County. Both of these churches are located in Clayton. Following their retirement, Gary and Anne had the opportunity to travel around the remaining states of the United States for a number of years.
In 2018, they made the move to Fernwood, Idaho, in order to take up residence on the land that had previously been owned by their son.
During her time there, she became active in the activities of the Gold Hill Diggers Gem and Mineral Club as well as the Upriver Bible Church.
Gary, her husband of 58 years, her brother Lester Lynn Burton, her daughter Debbie Guidice (who is married to Steve), and her son David Atchison (who is married to Judy) are the individuals who will carry on Anne’s legacy. Gary is her spouse of 58 years. Not only does she leave behind her five grandchildren, Cody, Carli, Kaitlyn, Paul, and Joel, but she also leaves behind four great-grandsons, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and other family.
