James “J.R.” Dailey Obituary, Death – Harrison Memorial Hospital in Cynthiana was the location where James Robert “J.R.” Dailey, who resided in Paris and was 87 years old at the time of his death, died away on Monday, April 1, 2024. Having lost his wife, Charlotte Burke Dailey, he was a widower. On July 25, 1936, J.R. was born for the first time in Bourbon County. At the time of his birth, both of his parents, James Vernon Dailey and Della Keller Bringman, had already passed away.
He was their son. In addition to being a farmer for a significant amount of time, J.R. was a graduate of Bourbon County High School in 1955 and had retired from IBM after working there for 24 years. In addition to that, he spent seventeen years working for Bourbon County Schools as a motor vehicle driver. He was a member of a number of organizations, including the Rotary Club, the Scottish Rite, the Paris Lodge #2 F&AM, and the Trinity First Church of God.
He was also quite enthusiastic about his old Farmall tractors. Additionally, his daughter, Donna Lynn Dailey, and his brother, John “Tommy” Dailey, passed away before him. He was the last surviving member of his family. A number of people, including his wife and parents, had already passed away before to his passing.
He is survived by his daughter, Tracy Dailey Burchell, who is married to Keith; his sister-in-law, Helen Dailey; his brother-in-law, Gary Burke; his caregiver and special friend, Carlotta (Calvin) Isaacs; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins. His daughter is married to Keith.
On Saturday, April 6, 2024, at eleven o’clock in the morning, the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home will be the location of the reception that will be held in honor of James Robert “J.R.” Dailey. At one o’clock, the funeral service will begin, and shortly after that, Masonic Rites will take place. The worship service will be presided over by Reverend Vernon Adams and Reverend William E. Singleton, and the burial will take place in the Winchester cemetery. Both of these clergy will be present during the event.
