A state police trooper avoided injury when his cruiser was struck on Interstate 91 in East Windsor on Thursday.
Trooper Clark was outside his vehicle investigating an accident when a motorist slammed into his cruiser, according to Connecticut State Police.
A photo shared by police showed the vehicle sustained heavy damage, as its rear bumper was completely smashed in.
State police are using the incident to remind drivers to move over on the highway when they see a police cruiser or any stationary vehicle.
