Faith Thomson Obituary, Death Cause – After a brief illness, Faith (Fai) D. Thomson, who was 78 years old at the time of her passing, passed away in a calm and serene manner at Woodwinds Hospital in Woodbury on March 20, 2024. Edmond and Mary (Davis) Thomson welcomed their daughter Fai into the world on December 7th, 1945 in Haverhill, Massachusetts. Fai was passionately interested in the Episcopal Church, where she donated her abilities to the choir, altar guild, vestry, and several other responsibilities within the church.
Fai’s enthusiasm for singing was a driving force behind her involvement in religious activities. During her time with the VFW Auxiliary club in Cumberland, Rhode Island, she devoted her time to acting as a flag bearer and actively engaged in a variety of events, including those that raised money and other activities. Not only did Fai take pleasure in having get-togethers with her family and friends, but she also took pleasure in preparing and serving delectable meals, as well as engaging in conversation and laughter while enjoying a few glasses of wine.
She had a genuine affection for animals, particularly her pet collie, Duncan, as well as her several feline pals, the most recent of whom was her cherished Chowder. A significant portion of Fai’s life was spent in Rhode Island. Yankee Candles, Lime Rickeys, coffee, reading the obituaries, and Awful Awfuls were some of her favorite things to do. She also enjoyed a good fish fry with clam cakes and a drink to wash it down. Neil Diamond was Fai’s favorite person in the world.
Her warm and friendly demeanor extended beyond the confines of her home, as she graciously welcomed anyone who happened to come into contact with her. It was during the Christmas celebrations that she would cheerfully play the organ for everyone to join in singing. She had a special place in her heart for the holidays, and she would do this with great enthusiasm.
Throughout her lengthy work as an office manager for two dermatological offices, Fai’s warm and friendly manner shone through. Her inviting presence created an indelible impact on all of the patients and guests who visited the offices.
In addition to a large number of other family and friends, she is survived by her nieces, Phyllis Langenfeld and Beth Wanamaker, both of whom reside in Hastings, Minnesota; her nephews, Ken Brown and Nancy Brown, both of Clermont, Florida; and Steve Brown and Kelley Brown, all of Apache Junction, Arizona; and his wife, Beth Wanamaker. The Starkson Family Life Celebration Center, located at 3075 Vermillion Street, Hastings, Minnesota 55033, is in charge of making the necessary arrangements.
