Anne Kelly Obituary –Earlier this morning, the Collinstown Pitch & Putt Club was shocked to learn of the demise of Anne Kelly, who had been a member for a very long time. Anne has been a member of the club for more than three decades, and during that time she has been very active within the organization. Everyone in Collinstown will remember her for her efforts on the committee as well as her enthusiastic participation in the sport that she cherished.
The passing of Anne Kelly, whose maiden name was Halton, has taken place at St. Joseph’s Villas in Athboy. resting in tranquility at the Mullingar Regional Hospital. John and Annie, her parents, as well as her brothers Paddy and Jimmy, and her sister Kathleen, all passed away before her. Her husband Jim, her sons Brian and James, her daughter Lorna, her daughters-in-law Jackie and Donna, her son-in-law Stephen, her grandchildren Ryan, Nicole, Sam, Jack, Andy, Sophie, Skye, Jamie, and Holly, her great-grandchildren Darragh and Killian, her brother Alfie and Johnny, her sister Mag, her brother-in-law, her sisters-in-law, her nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends will miss her terribly at this time.
There was a great deal of success for Anne in the sport. At Ierne in 1994, she claimed the title of Leinster Ladies Junior Strokeplay champion, which is considered to be her most notable accomplishment. Additionally, she finished in second place in the National Ladies Intermediate Strokeplay championship held in Glenville in the year 2001, and she finished in third place in the Leinster Ladies Intermediate Strokeplay championship held at R.G.S.C. in the year the year 2010.
Additionally, Anne was a member of three Westmeath Inter-County teams that won bronze medals. These teams included one National team and two Leinster teams. And she triumphed in a great number of contests at the club and county levels. All of the members of the Collinstown Pitch and Putt Club would like to express their deepest condolences to her husband Jim and the rest of her family during this difficult time.

You are welcome to pay your respects at Mullens Funeral Home in Athboy (C15 WK58) this coming Sunday afternoon from 4 p.m. till 7 p.m. Removal will take place on Monday morning, beginning at her residence and proceeding to St. James’ Church in Athboy, where the funeral mass will begin at eleven o’clock. The burial will take place at St. Dymphna’s Cemetery in Kildalkey.
