Carolyn C. (Elpers) Titzer Obituary, Death – The passing of Carolyn C. (Elpers) Titzer, who was 80 years old and a resident of Evansville, Indiana, took place at Deaconess Gateway Hospital on Thursday, March 28, 2024. On October 29, 1943, Carolyn Elpers was born in Evansville, Indiana. Her parents, Valeria (Rexing) and Sylverius Elpers, Sr., both passed away before her birth. She was a manager at the Subway restaurant located within Deaconess Hospital. Holy Redeemer Catholic Church counted Carolyn as a devoted member throughout her life. Her favorite thing to do in her spare time was to work out at the YMCA.
Both baseball and NASCAR were two of Carolyn’s favorite sports. It was the time she spent with her family that brought her the most happiness. Her absence will be keenly felt, but she will be remembered unendingly. Carolyn is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Harold Titzer of Evansville, IN; sons, Jeffery Titzer (Rachel) of Lynnville, IN and Kevin Titzer (Amy Rhodes) of Evansville, IN; sisters, Rosemary Blaze (David) and Barbara “Barb” Jean Spear (Bob); brothers, Flavien Elpers (Kathy), Eugene Elpers (Earlene) and Sylverius Elpers, Jr. all of Evansville, IN; grandson, Hayden Titzer; step grandchildren, Tanner Rupple (Erin Reinbrecht), Madison Dossett (John, Jr.), Kaya Arnold and Alora Arnold; and by step great grandson, John Henry III.
Both of Carolyn’s parents and her sister, Debbie Givens, passed away when she was still a little child. At 10:00 in the morning on Thursday, April 4, 2024, a memorial service honoring Carolyn’s life will be place at the Browning Funeral Home, which is located at 738 Diamond Avenue in Evansville, Indiana 47711. Father Jason Gries will preside over the ceremony. After then, the burial will take place at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Browning Funeral Home. On Thursday, April 4, 2024, there will be another visitation from 9:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
