Jessica Gregory Obituary, Death – On March 22, 2024, Jessica Anne Gregory of Aurora, CO, our beam of sunshine, succumbed to a brief illness and died at the age of 36. Nana Anne O’Connor, Jim Gregory, Kathleen (O’Connor) Germeroth, and Gary Germeroth, sister Kaitlin Gregory, and brothers Zachary and Rory Germeroth are her surviving relatives. Additionally, Dozer, her bulldog son, eleven devoted first cousins, and an abundance of family, friends, instructors, and students who had the good fortune to have interacted with the luminary of our lives, survive Jessica.
Jessie completed a full circle in her life voyage, as she was delivered and passed away at the same medical facility. Dancing, laughter, beach vacations, music, bulldogs, the Broncos & Rockies, and innumerable recollections comprised the 36 years spent in the circle. Jess possessed an enchanting smile and was madly in love. Jessie was her immediate family’s eldest sibling. She approached this position with utmost seriousness and consistently endeavoured to assume a leadership position within the crew. Jessie would not hesitate to readmit one of her misbehaving cousins, classmates, or siblings into the designated space she had originally intended for them.
Jessie could simultaneously captivate you with her stunning eyes and smile at an early age and steal a baby doll from her younger sister Katie in a carefree manner. Even though Katie and Jessie experienced periods of discontentment, they did so out of a profound, eternal love, just as do all siblings. Jessie was an avid reader, starting with classics such as Goodnight Moon and progressing to two-inch thick hardcover tomes. While Jessie did not favour e-books, she valued the durability and tactile experience of a high-quality hardcover book for communicating the story.
During her freshman year of high school, Jessie took her initial step towards independence by relocating to the cellar. Similar to the majority of children, this incident incited both positive and negative emotions. Ultimately, her mother devised a scheme to have Jessie’s ten-year-old brother Rory act as a cellar spy/espionage agent in order to verify that nothing suspicious was occurring in the basement. We are still investigating whether or not this influenced Rory’s decision to pursue a criminal justice degree. 2005 marked Jessie’s graduation from Legacy High School in Broomfield, Colorado. In 2010, she received a Social Work degree from Colorado State University, where she was honoured as a Magna Cum Laude.
Over time, Jessie transitioned to a vocation she cherished: pre-kindergarten education. She had the same approach with each child; she cared profoundly for them even after they graduated and treated them as if they were her own. Even though Jessie understood that it was a natural part of life’s progression, witnessing her pupils graduate was the source of her greatest anguish and difficulty. One of Jessie’s greatest pleasures was the companionship she developed with her fellow educators and the pride she felt for each of her students. Even with all of her tremendous strengths, Jessie encountered a few obstacles, as did every other individual.
A few instances that come to mind are the inability to recall specific dates such as birthdays, account passwords, and computer technology as a whole. In addition to countless others, Jessie depended on her sibling Zach for assistance with these challenges and as a reliable source of information. In all circumstances, Jessie placed her complete trust in Zach. An enduring aspect of Jessie’s existence was her steadfast devotion to her family. She delighted in being a member of a large extended family of relations who delighted in being together, sharing life lessons, having fun, and exchanging anecdotes. Those of us who had the privilege of knowing Jessie will never forget her enchanting disposition and radiant grin.
