PENDER COUNTY, N.C. (WNCT) — An air medical helicopter crashed between Pender and New Hanover Counties Monday night.
The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office received reports of the crash around 7:47 p.m., saying that the aircraft came down near Sidbury Road.
In addition to the sheriff’s office, New Hanover County Fire Rescue arrived to help anyone involved in the crash. All three people who were on board the helicopter were safely extracted and taken to Novant Health.
The investigation is ongoing.
