Two people were airlifted to a hospital following a fiery crash on Route 169 in Woodstock on Wednesday.
The collision was reported between Old Hall Road and County Road just after 7:40 p.m., according to Connecticut State Police and the Woodstock Volunteer Fire Department.
State police said the preliminary report indicated the vehicle had caught on fire. Two people were injured and were flown to a hospital aboard Life Star, according to state police. Their condition was not immediately clear.
Fire officials said Route 169 was closed for hours.
The crash remains under investigation.
