A man was arrested after police said he fled the scene of a single-car crash in South Windsor on Saturday.
The collision was reported in the early morning hours on Hilton Drive where first responders found that a vehicle rolled over and ended up on its side, according to Lt. Mark Cleverdon of the South Windsor Police Department.
Cleverdon said police believe 20-year-old Vaughan K. Bizier of South Windsor was driving and fled the scene on foot. He was found not far away and was taken into custody after allegedly refusing to put his hands behind his back to be handcuffed, Cleverdon said.
Bizier was taken into custody just after 2:30 a.m. and was charged with operating under suspension, reckless driving, evading responsibility, failure to drive in the proper lane and interfering with an officer/resisting. He was released on a $5,000 nonsurety bond was is expected to appear in Manchester Superior Court on March 18.
