The holidays are a popular time to get engaged and it’s time for all of those brides to be to plan their weddings.
The Connecticut Wedding & Bridal Expo is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, “marking four decades as the largest and most influential bridal and wedding expo on the East Coast,” according to a statement.
This year’s event will take place Saturday, Feb. 7 and Sunday, Feb. 8 at the Connecticut Convention Center.
“Since its inception, the Connecticut Wedding & Bridal Expo has served as a trusted planning destination for hundreds of thousands of couples, offering an unmatched combination of runway-style bridal fashion shows and a comprehensive exhibitor marketplace featuring every conceivable wedding product and service. From gowns and accessories to venues, photography, décor, entertainment, and more, couples can plan nearly every aspect of their wedding in one weekend,” according to a statement.

“This event is deeply personal for me,” said Wes Jenks, who has helped manage the expo for the past 15 years. “I’ve grown up with this annual event. I once walked the runway as a ring bearer dressed in a tux, and now I have the privilege of continuing its legacy with my team. The legacy we’ve forged in New England for the bridal industry is unmatched. Styles and trends continue to evolve — just as the best bridal event on the East Coast does. The expo will feature fashion shows, exhibitor offerings and a range of wedding styles and price points. It is sponsored by iHeart.
