A 37-year-old Connecticut man is facing charges after police say he uploaded child pornography to his personal Google Gmail account.

Karam Aljobori, of Wallingford, voluntarily turned himself in to police on an outstanding arrest warrant related to the possession of child pornography, according to officials. He is being charged with first-degree possession of child sexual abuse material and second-degree larceny, according to the Wallingford Police Department.

The investigation began in March 2025 when the Wallingford Police Department received a complaint from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children indicating that Aljobori had uploaded multiple images of child pornography to his personal Google Gmail account.

Detectives assigned to the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, in collaboration with the FBI, conducted a months-long investigation. As a result of this investigation, search warrants were executed at Aljobori’s residence for electronic devices. Forensic examination of the seized devices revealed evidence of child pornography, police said, establishing probable cause for his arrest.

During the execution of the search warrants, officers also allegedly discovered more than 2,000 prescription pills that were illegally possessed. Further investigation determined that the pills had been stolen from patients at a health care facility where Aljobori was employed at the time, police said.

Aljobori has been terminated from his employment and subsequently charged in connection with the theft.
