Two people suffered burns during a house fire in Milford on Sunday.
The fire broke out at a home on Benson Street during the storm that plummeted the state with snow, the Milford Fire Department wrote in a Facebook post just before 1 p.m.
Responding crews encountered a “large amount” of fire at the home upon arrival, fire officials said.
The fire was brought under control before overhaul efforts began. According to fire officials, each engine was staffed with an extra firefighter to help crews battle the blaze during the treacherous weather conditions.
Two people who suffered burns were taken to a hospital, fire officials said. The condition of the victims was not immediately clear.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
