Wethersfield police investigating suspicious death on Berlin Turnpike

Wethersfield police are investigating a suspicious death after finding a person unresponsive in their vehicle, officials said.

Officers responded to 1381 Berlin Turnpike around 10:44 p.m. Friday to check on a vehicle that was parked with its headlights illuminated for an extended period of time, according to the Wethersfield Police Department.

Arriving officers located an unresponsive person behind the wheel of a 2025 Honda HR-V. Police said no one else was in the vehicle or in the area.

First responders that arrived on the scene declared the person dead, according to police. The person has not been identified at this time.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner responded to the scene and took custody of the body to determine the cause of death.
