South Windsor police have arrested a school bus driver accused of failing to intervene during a fight on a bus last October.

Dominic M. Jimerson, 61, of New Britain was arrested on an active warrant Wednesday and charged with 12 counts of risk of injury to a child, according to the South Windsor Police Department.

Jimerson’s charges stem from an October 2025 incident where he was the bus driver for 12 students, police said.

According to police, Jimerson allegedly “failed to intervene while several of the students targeted and fought other students” during a 25-minute period on the bus.

Police allege that Jimerson “failed to address the behavior, thus impairing the morals and safety of all students on the bus.”

Jimerson turned himself in at police headquarters and was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond. He is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Feb. 4.
