One person was taken to a hospital following a garage fire in Plainfield on Friday.
Fire crews responded to a report of the blaze at a home on Pratt Road around 1 a.m., according to the Plainfield Fire Department.
A fire in a garage that was attached to a residence was quickly contained, fire officials said. An occupant of the home was taken to an area hospital for unspecified injuries, according to fire officials.
Plainfield fire crews were assisted by the Moosup Fire Department and the Central Village Fire Company. Crews spent about 2½ hours at the scene, officials said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Plainfield Fire Marshal’s Office.
