Man accused of operating a drug factory in New London. Police seize 5 pounds of marijuana

A 48-year-old man is facing drug charges after police conducted a search of a residence in New London on Friday.

Narcotics investigators and members of the New London Police Department’s Emergency Response Team served a narcotics-related search and seizure warrant at a residence on Blackhall Street just after 6 a.m. Friday, according to police.

Investigators allegedly located and seized 6.4 ounces of cocaine, 2.6 ounces of crack cocaine, 5.25 pounds of marijuana, $941 in U.S. currency and narcotics-related manufacturing materials during the execution of the search, police said.

Joselito Vazquez, 48, of New London was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of narcotics, two counts of possession of narcotics with intent to sell and one count each of operating a drug factory, possession of marijuana with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia.
