Talk about a good luck charm.
A Branford resident who won $150,000 is giving his dog most of the credit, according to the CT Lottery, who is “the household’s resident good-luck charm.”
The winning ticket was purchased at Wine Barrel on West Main Street in Branford,” according to the CT Lottery. “Hank didn’t let the moment go to waste and tagged along with his owner to CT Lottery headquarters in Wallingford to claim the prize.”
“The owner said the winnings will go toward a much-needed ACL surgery for Hank—plus plenty of treats for a job well done,” the CT Lottery went on to say. “Hank was, by all accounts, a very good boy.”
Additionally, another Connecticut resident took home at $2,000,000 jackpot prize, according to the CT Lottery.

The winner, from Danbury, “won the $2 million top prize in CT Lottery’s ‘$2,000,000 Jackpot’ scratch game,” according to the CT Lottery.
“This wasn’t his first brush with lottery luck,” the CT Lottery went on to say. “In recent years, he’s also won $25,000 through a 2nd Chance drawing and $1,000 playing another scratch game.”

The winner plans to use the money for his retirement, as well as “to make charitable donations, finish paying one son’s college education, and pay off another son’s car loan,” according to the CT Lottery.
“The winning ticket was purchased at Jimmie’s Market on Germantown Rd. in Danbury. For selling the winning ticket, Jimmie’s Market will receive a $20,000 bonus—one of the many perks of being a CT Lottery retail partner.”
