An East Hartford woman has died following a serious car crash in Maine.
Maine State Police responded to a crash on the Falmouth Spur eastbound near the on-ramp to Interstate-295 North in Falmouth shortly before 2 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
“It was reported that a car had gone off the road into the guardrail. Troopers responded along with Falmouth Fire and Rescue to find the driver of a white 2013 Subaru Impreza trapped inside her vehicle,” according to the Maine State Police.
Maine State Police identified East Hartford’s Joamaliz Orozco, 19, as the driver. She was transported to Maine Medical Center where she was pronounced dead, according to Maine State Police.
Police said weather and road conditions were the primary cause of the crash.
