Three women are recovering after being stabbed during a dispute with a neighbor in Hamden, officials said.
On Friday, around 4:18 p.m., Hamden police officers said they responded to 300 Pine Rock Ave. for a reported stabbing incident. Upon arrival, police said they found three adult women with stab wounds. All three victims were transported to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.
One victim remains in critical condition, while the other two sustained non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Police said that a preliminary investigation shows the stabbing stemmed from an ongoing neighbor dispute that escalated into a violent altercation outside the main entrance of the building. Officers said they executed a search warrant at an apartment complex and that evidence was taken.
The Hamden Police Department said the incident remains an active and ongoing investigation.
Police said additional information will be released as it becomes available. There is no threat to the public at this time, police said.
