A Connecticut man who allegedly threatened an ambulance crew with the words he would “blow their brains out” is now due in court after he was arrested, also for allegedly following the crew that had just finished a call, police said and court records show.

Keith Trapasso, 73, of Orange, was arrested for allegedly threatening an AMR ambulance crew that had parked in front of his house on Indian Hill Road after clearing a call for service nearby, police said.

“While the crew was completing their paperwork,” Trapasso allegedly “began yelling and swearing at them for parking in front of his house,” police said. “As the crew began to leave the area to avoid this individual, he got into his car and followed them to the next intersection, honking and yelling that they were blocking his driveway.”

The street that the incident occurred on is a quiet, treed, residential one that backs up to a massive wooded area.

“Trapasso then threatened to blow their brains out, among other threats and vulgarities,” police said.

Trapasso was arrested and is charged with threatening, breach of peace, and following with Intent to harass, police said.

Trapasso is free on posted bond and has a court date on January 21 at the Superior Court in Derby, records show.
