Police are investigating a shooting in Hartford on Tuesday afternoon that left a man in critical condition.
Officers were dispatched to the area of 1409 Albany Ave. around 4 p.m. on Tuesday on a ShotSpotter notification, according to Lt. Aaron Boisvert of the Hartford Police Department.
Boisvert said arriving officers located evidence of gunfire. While at the scene, dispatch was notified that a gunshot victim, identified as a man in his 40s, arrived at an area hospital for treatment of multiple gunshot wounds.
According to Boisvert, he was listed in critical condition on Thursday evening.
The Hartford Police Department’s Major Crimes and Crime Scene Division assumed the ongoing investigation. Anyone with any information about the shooting is asked to contact the Hartford Police Department Tip Line at 860-722-TIPS (8477).
