Hartford HealthCare has added two additional Mamava Lactation Pods at MidState Medical Center, expanding access to private, secure spaces for breastfeeding and pumping, according to the health system.
“The Mamava Pods provide a clean, comfortable, and dedicated environment for colleagues, patients, and visitors who are nursing or expressing milk,” according to a statement. “The addition of these pods supports working parents, enhances privacy and comfort, and reflects Hartford HealthCare’s ongoing commitment to family-centered care across the region.”
“Providing accessible lactation spaces helps nursing parents continue breastfeeding while balancing work, medical appointments, and daily life,” the statement went on to say. “The Mamava Pods reinforce Hartford HealthCare’s commitment to supporting families and creating inclusive, supportive environments across its hospitals.”
