Police are looking for several individuals believed to be involved in an armed home invasion at a home in Plainville on Wednesday.
Officers responded to a single-family home on Whiting Street at 1:08 p.m. on the report of a home invasion in progress and were told that two people wearing masks and dressed in all black had allegedly forced their way into the residence, according to the Plainville Police Department.
Police said at least one of the individuals was allegedly armed with a handgun that was shown in the robbery. No shots were fired.
According to police, the suspects allegedly made off with the residents’ cell phones and wallets. No injuries were reported.
After the incident, the robbers got into a silver sedan with at least one additional person inside who was driving, police said. The vehicle was last seen fleeing south toward Southington.
Evidence that was gathered at the scene indicated the residence was likely targeted, according to police.
The incident remains under investigation.
